BEAUTIFUL WORLD
By Cinnamon (PG-13/R) [70,290 words; Complete]

Summary: Draco is afraid of living and Harry is afraid of dying, but sometimes the choice isn't offered. Draco's got to learn what it is to really live, while showing Harry how beautiful the world really is when you're not too scared to see it.
Why I Recommend: Good Lord. What do I put here? I can't even begin to describe why you should read this one. I shall attempt to, though. This has to be the most beautiful piece of writing that I have ever read. So full of angst, with just a pinch of humor, and the right amount of romance. The author somehow managed to keep both Harry and Draco in character throughout the entire fic, which is admirable. The ending is very depressing, but so perfect. Beware: Tissues should be kept nearby for emergency use.
My Description: After Dumbledore informs Harry of the consequences of surviving the killing curse, he doesn't seem to care about anything. Nothing matters anymore. He eventually starts to hang out with Draco, and the two grow closer. Draco finds out what these so called consequences are, and he promises Harry that everything will be fine. That nothing can separate them.

DRACO MALFOY AND THE TOME OF ENTRAPMENT
By Saber ShadowKitten (T) [59,862 words; Complete]

Summary: Draco took a deep breath and let it out slowly. It sucked being in love.
Why I Recommend: Really, just about anything by Saber ShadowKitten is great. The idea of the Potter Rescue and Tending Society was pure genious. The idea of having Draco Malfoy as a member of said group was even better. I admire the fact that she's able to get certain Gryffindors and Slytherins to tolerate each other and still be believable. Not only do I love Draco's and Harry's characterization in this fic, but I adore Pansy. I like to think that Draco and Pansy have a friendship very similar to this one.
My Description: Draco Malfoy is a member of a group that protects Harry Potter. On top of that, he has a crush on Harry. Naturally, Harry has no idea about this crush, but when Draco, Pansy, Neville, Ron, Hermione, and he are transported to a strange area, some actions are bound to clue him in. Harry discovers that maybe Draco isn't as bad as he thought he was.

ECLIPSE
By Mijan (T) [281,998 words; Complete]

Summary: Draco swore revenge on Harry for Lucius's imprisonment, and he keeps his deadly promise. But, when Draco’s world turns upside down, the fight to save himself and Harry begins, and the battle will take them through hell and back. Post-OotP.
Why I Recommend: I really admire the author's ability to keep both Harry and Draco incredibly in character. It makes this story very believable, which I like. A very original plot also ensues.
My Description: Draco kidnaps Harry for the Dark Lord and is holding him prisoner in the dungeons of Malfoy Manor. But witnessing Harry's tortures, and hearing what Harry has to say about fighting on the dark side, is changing his views on things. When he comes face to face with Voldemort himself, he decides to take control of a situation that seems to have gone horribly wrong. Will he succeed? Inquiring minds want to know.

HOW HARRY POTTER GOT HIS GROOVE BACK
By durendal (PG-13) [12,024 words; Complete]

Summary: Snape tries to hang himself, Draco enters an alternate reality, and Harry Gets a Clue. Humor, SLASH, naughty language, and other Evil Things. Harry/Draco, Snape/James/Lucius.
Why I Recommend: And now for something completely different... This story is just beyond funny. Something to brighten your day.
My Description: The insanity all starts on a Tuesday evening, when Harry Potter asks Draco Malfoy out on a date. Draco accepts, causing him to believe that he has entered an alternate reality, thus causing the insanity to become even more insane. While Harry spends the rest of the week trying to decide where to take Draco, Draco is busy wreaking havoc on his own life. Everyone is sure that the Malfoy heir has finally gone insane. Also, Snape is odd.

OF ALL THE THINGS I LOST
By Mijan (T) [1,358 words; Complete]

Summary: The worst decision Draco ever made... Is it possible to miss someone so much that you lose part of yourself? Of all the things he lost, what does Draco miss most?
Why I Recommend: I don't normally go for the short fics, but this one just broke my heart. I love this author to no end. The way she switches back and forth between first and third person without bamboozling the readers is also a plus. Thank you for torturing me with this wonderful angst.
My Description: Draco made a terrible decision. He fought on the dark side. During the final battle, he did something to Harry that he will forever regret. But by the end, Draco takes care of just how long 'forever' is.

ONLY YOUR SHADOW
By Mijan (T) [19,906 words; Complete]

Summary: Draco sets Harry up for an ambush, and decides to follow him all day so he can watch the fireworks... but he gets much more than he bargained for.
Why I Recommend: There are no words. Just read it.
My Description: Draco is spying on Harry for his father and Voldemort. But Draco ends up getting a tad bit obsessed with The-Boy-Who-Lived. He informs his father that Harry is going to Hogsmeade for the day and, suspecting that there's going to be an attack, follows Harry. After witnessing a scene in the Shrieking Shack that leaves him shaken to the core, his view of Harry begins to change. He follows Harry into a bookstore, where they both purchase a journal. Draco charms these journals without Harry knowing, and can now read everything that Harry writes. And Draco writes back. Angst ensues.

WALK AWAY
By Constance1 (M) [90,461 words; Complete]

Summary: Harry and Draco's secret relationship is discovered and destroyed. Devastated, Harry falls into an abusive relationship with another Slytherin.
Why I Recommend: A sad story that at first makes you want to kill Draco, then possibly smack Harry really hard. This fic just breaks my heart. I love the way the author writes all the characters, and the way she was able to fit an Original Character in without bugging the crap out of me. For an author to be able to pull this off is, in my opinion, rare. Let us hope that everyone get's a grip on themselves by the end. Walk Away's sequel, The Reason Is You, is already out and completed.
My Description: At first, Harry and Draco are in love and everything seems to be perfect. Then enter the new student, Ethan. Ethan becomes attracted to Harry, and not in a good way. To get Draco out of the picture, Ethan spreads rumors about Harry and Draco's relationship. Panicked, Draco breaks up with Harry, wanting no one to find out. He then turns a cold shoulder to Harry, causing Ethan to be able to win him over quite easily. With Ethan's assistance, here begins Harry's spiral downward.
